Wow, a ten dollar shipping fee to get a package to some God forsaken
desert in God knows where.. Oooooo, never seen that before... NOT!
Man, we should put a target on one of their kids homes.... Yeah,
that's
how we get our way!
Let's read this again, for content:
On a $120 purchase, Walmart.com charged $10.35 to ship to an APO
address, compared with $2.10 to a stateside address. For most items,
Amazon.com charged the same to ship to an APO address as a stateside
address. And Target offered shipping on a $120 purchase to an APO
address for less than to a stateside address.
$10.00 or $.10 why would you charge people more, just because they
have an APO address?Amazon didn't do it. Target didn't do it. In
fact,
I'm not sure that you'd find anybody else doing it. It doesn't cost
any more to ship to an APO than any other address, why would you
charge more? Gouging.... and gouging folks on a fixed income that are
likely a serrated family... already under stress....
Maybe it does cost them more, did you develop their logistics software?
You just hate them because the original owner was Christian.. Sorry
Gene, you are waaaaay too transparent on this one...
You are totally NOT making any sense on this one. But, then, you've
digressed from talking about why WalMart gouges people in the military
to talking about religion. Apparently, you know that the practice is
indefensible, so you're trying to pick some sort of oblique fight.
So tell me all about when you developed Walmart's Logistics and shipping
operations.. I mean, you seem to know exactly how it works, maybe you
can prove there are no extra issues for them to send to APO's that
others don't have internally.. I will give you some time on this one, so
you can go back and check your records. I don't expect you to remember
the software you wrote way back then and explain it all to us..
Tell me, what conceivable issue could there be in writing

Is some kind of weird ink involved? There are no logistics involved
here, it is the POST OFFICE.
You are talking nonsense.....
Read this, again, for content:
"But Earl Small, the postmaster at Wiesbaden Army Airfield, said that
the shipping and handling charges have nothing to do with the military
postal system or the U.S. Postal Service.
"A company can charge whatever they want," said Small, who explained
that items up to 108 inches are normally shipped at normal cost, but
larger items often fall under a more expensive "balloon charge."
According to Small, when companies ship to APO addresses in Europe,
the order is shipped to New York, after which the Department of
Defense picks up the tab to get the package to an APO address.
On Walmart.com, the company says shipping costs will be higher to APO
addresses due to higher transportation costs.
"There is no higher transportation costs," Small said. "Companies are
abusing the system and making a killing.""
Talking sense to the Mini-man is.... just plain nonsensical!
Another stupid post from Don.
