Walmart is Doomed
Good.
WalMart should unionize all it's stores, pay their employees a lot more money,
and stop buying stuff that's made in China.
Of course, they'd probably have to raise their prices accordingly.
Which means the folks in the most need would have to do without.
But then again, the liberals have never really cared about the poor anyway.
Oh well.
I really can't tell you what liberals think, but I DO know that if
Wal-Mart paid enough, their current workers wouldn't be forced to use
state health care plans at taxpayer expense. If WalMart bought
American made goods, like Sam Walton did, they would HELP the American
economy, not enrich the Communist Chinese regime. Maybe Rushbo has
some sort of logic you have swallowed hook, line, and sinker, that
financing the ChiComs is good for America.... you'll have to explain
that in detail, I don't get it.....
Maybe Costco, a worthy competitor who gets my money, is a lot better
business model..... they certainly compensate their employees a LOT
better, don't demand corporate welfare, and cover at least twice as
many of their employees as WalMart with health insurance.
I care about the poor that care about themselves. I don't care about
companies/corporations that milk the American people, economy, and
government of every ounce of wealth and dignity obtainable..... solely
because they justifiably see themselves as a predator and, hey,
everything is fair in business.... right?
Look at the cities in the USA with the highest percent of poor folks. Then look
at the leadership they've had for years and years. You'll get an idea what
liberals, at least those in power, think.
As long as the poor are kept poor and uneducated, they'll keep thinking handouts
will be their saving grace.
BTW, here is an answer to the WalMart/ Costco pay.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_does_costco_pay
Yeah, Costco apparently pays more than Walmart for a starting salary. A *lot*
more? No, at least not to that guy.
I do a lot of shopping at Costco also. WalMart gets my business only if it's
something I know they carry. The local WalMart is about a half mile away. The
Costco is about 10-12.
As to 'American made goods', please check out some labels at Costco. I think
most of their American made stuff is in the meat department.
