one of the other loons says. Ya gotta love 'em.

How else would we know that it's illegal to use dead reckoning? Or
that the Gulf Stream is extremely difficult to find? Or that you can
sail upwind under bare poles because of "vectors?" And an endless
stream of other outre bits.
