Hello Carolyn:
Your website is visually appealing and organized well.
After a very brief look I did not notice any section/part/heading
reading galley safety. Specifically fire safety. I may have missed
that. I know I have missed the content of another post recently
Id recommend adding information needed to avoid burning your boat to
the water line.
For example, placement of fire extinguishers: have them accessible
DURING a fire, type of extinguishers, where to put the propane on/off
switch. Most people put the switch next to the stove for convenience
but what happens when that grease fire blocks the shut off switch? How
about older propane stove types that don’t have a thermocouple and
will release gas when there is no flame and a knob gets accidentally
turned releasing propane. Then of course there are all the diesel
tricks as in flooded fuel pot etc etc.
Do you have a fire blanket?
A galley is simply not a kitchen on a boat. Neither are the safety
issues.
