That's bull****.

All they did was disrupt this newsgroup further, and drive away posters.

The best thing that could happen to usenet would be moderated-only
newsgroups.

And, I've got to agree with Harry. The spoofers, one or two of them, were funny
at first. The humor quickly wore off. They most certainly did nothing to *help*
rec.boats.
