News Flash: Yale Apologizes to Harry Krause

In an unusual press conference held today, Yale publicly apologized to
Harry Krause for its previous statement that he had never been on the
Yale campus.
Krause has maintained for years that he graduated from Yale. *He even
wrote of himself and his friends making fun of fellow Yale student
George W. Bush. *But Yale records, which are available on the
Internet, never showed a Harry Krause as a student or a graduate of
the institution.
However Yale Provost, Christopher Robin, said today that Yale was
retracting its previous statement which denied that Harry Krause had
ever been on campus. *“After an exhaustive investigation, we have
determined,” said Provost Robin, “that in early 1965 Harry Krause was
indeed on campus. *We now have irrefutable evidence that 45 years ago
Harry Krause walked onto our campus and ate a hotdog in the student
cafeteria. *After finishing the hotdog, Krause walked back off
campus. *Therefore, we are happy to make this correction and set the
record straight.”
Well, this is lame... Tbe biologist and bird thing was pretty funny,
but it's time is passed... That "bird" is gone. haven't seen it in a
couple of weeks. You may have been away so I will give you (as others
probably should) catch you up on things and see how it goes. Just
about everyone here, including me and "the bird" have heeded the
advice of the Sage of Zoar and we are trying to make rec.boats a
boating group again, and if not boats, at least a friendly group
again..
The "guidelines" seem to be... No name calling, no political trolls
(and the meter is very sensitive in this area, no "faith" bashing, no
union bashing, you get the picture). And sig files count. If you
notice, all inflamatory sig files are missing. NO SPOOFING (other
posters, or their families), this seems to be the guideline that will
keep the peace.
Read a few threads, things have improved beyond any of our
expectations.. I guess we might have a few KF victims, some might even
be quick at the switch, but most, even the ones like myself and "the
bird" are holding our powder and things are looking up.
So that being said, why did you first come to rec.boats? I mean, we
have all had the same demons for the last decade here or so, have we
lost sight of the prize? Cause we got the prize now, question is does
it still have any value to you?
Anyway, choose your side, and make a stand... But I would suggest you
read a few therads first...
