Hi,
As a result of the "imagine your boat upside down" exercise, I'd like
to figure out a way to hold down the two plug-type lids for the
refrigerator and freezer. They are plugged into the galley countertop
so I'd like to not have much or anything screwed into the counter top
because it will get inthe waay of food prep and cleaning. Any ideas?
We've put hinges on the back of ours. We have handles in the middle
of each lid, and we can run a board through the handles if we feel
that the sea state warrants it.
I'd suggest you go at this the other way. Don't drill out your refer
lid because that will reduce the insulation. Have a removeable
counter top on top of whatever you install to hold the lids down.
That will avoid both the food-in-the-recesses problem and the
stick-up-in-the-way problem.
