Exactly.... the more one person posts about their favourite past time... eg
motorcycle racing, the more others will be tempted to post about anything&
everything but boating.

As long as civility is maintained, there is no need for everyone to be
on the same page or even in the same book. Some posters are very
concerned about OT posts, others are not. The "OT" in the subject line
is helpful. This newsgroup has problems a lot more serious than
discussions about BBQ grills or teenage motorcycle racing.

Who started the "bull****" up again, Scotty? Certainly not me. I simply
*suggested* using OT on the subject line and noted that OT posts were
not as serious an issue as nastiness.

You started it again, with your obvious troll post saying "I don't
mind posts about motorcycles...". The new folks might have missed it,
but everyone else here knows it was a not so clever troll post,
directed at me and my kid. You know as well as I that as little as two
weeks ago if I had posted a post about my kids racing, *you* and
Bonnie would immediately scream bloody murder about "kidde motorcycle
racing, sleeping with my kid, killing my dad, skipping out on bills,
not having a business... etc. etc. etc... So yeah Harry, you and I,
and everyone else here knows, "You stated up the bull**** again"...

Tell you what John, one of you more sane folks confirm this to the new

For the most part, it seems the "problems" now are being caused by the
ID spoofers and one or two posters who cannot seem to let go of the past
and practice self control

Yeah, maybe it's easy for some to forget a decade of vulgar,
manipulative posts... But those of us on the recieving end might take
a bit longer... My daughter still talks about the things said about
her here.... Not to mention my wife.

Sooo, I will play nice, but a troll post is a troll post, no matter
how subtile...
