Looks like the boating industry is looking up.

I like to read any positive news, but this is hard to take seriously.
October? Who buys boats in October? Locally, prices have somewhat stabilized
due to the fact that the dealerships no longer have but a few boats
floorplanned. Some dealerships have given up brands that required an
inventory exceeding the dealership owner's comfort level.
I can't help but think the figures they quote a not representative of
reality. I'd like to be wrong.
The person who bought my Parker bought it in October. October 2nd, to be
exact. We're taking delivery of a new boat later this month. It was
ordered through a dealer in early August.
Took me less than a full week to sell my Parker. Ended up getting a
total of 14 calls and several emails, and three parties stopped by for a
look-see. The guy who bought it said he was sending a mechanic down with
a cashier's check, and if the boat was as described, the mechanic was
authorized to hand me the check in exchange for the boat and the
paperwork. That's what happened.
