Oh...the Mason-Dizon line was not established by Mason and Dixon to
determine what was "the south." The south, typically, refers to those
states that opposed the United States during the civil war by seceding
from the union: South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia,
Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina.
