I am an asshole, an earned appellation from those that **** with me.
5 footers at 40 MPH sounds like a bumpy day, but in the ocean, you deal with
that because you have to. If you waited for lake boater conditions you would
probably stay in the bath tub with your rubber ducky.
Lake Erie is just a big lake. Don't give me the our really big lake is worse
than your ocean crap. I've boated both and I know better.
Pontoon boats are not greatly different from catamarans, which are known for
handling rough seas with ease. Give it a few decades and come back when you
have as much experience behind the wheel as I have and we'll talk.
I didn't say that Lake Erie was any comparison for the Ocean. Erie is
a shallow lake, and can pitch up VERY fast.
I'm sure that 5 footers in the Ocean is a bumpy day on your 50 foot
Boat. Mines 20 feet.
And I personally don't give a flying **** how many " years behind the
wheel " you have. You obviously know as little about Erie as I do the
Ocean, so kiss my ass.
" Tooners " are a flimsy deck strapped across two aluminum barrels.
They are NOT meant for weather. Most have NO shelter on them, unless
you foolishly consider a Bimini as a cabin, which seems more your
style anyway.
Go open another beer, and sit in your lawn chair.
