Put some floats under an old WW II F4U Corsair or side guns on a PBY
and watch the dog[fish] fight.

I'm not really a gambler, but I know who I'd put the money on.

I think we have demonstrated that if you put something in the air, we
can shoot it down. Didn't Iran learn anything from Iran Air 655?

True.

I'm still trying to figure out what this little floating box kites are
supposed to prove.

Load it up with a bomb and cruise it into a US warship. Maybe the
Somalia types will buy them too.

Since the Cole, I doubt this is going to be much of a problem for most
war ships. We have phalanx systems that would turn this little piece
of crap into floating debris in seconds if it even looked a little
dangerous. 20mm rounds coming at you around 3000 a minute will spoil
your day.
Our policy has become "shoot first, we ask questions later"

Yes, M-61 Vulcans can make for a great attitude adjustment.

If only you could mount them on your daily driver.

Roadside IEDs and hullside mines, while low technology, are far more
effective killing tools, and far less expensive. Just ask any terrorist.

It is mildly humorous how much Americans brag about military might and
technology in the face of the fact that the U.S. military doesn't have
what it takes to defeat the relatively small numbers of al Qaeda
operatives and the Taliban.
