This was a thought that just brushed on my mind,
What kind of size would be suitable for a livaboard boat? that would be
in the sea. I quite fancy the idea of going from port to port. What kind
of budget/ size of boat would I need to be looking for?
I am in the US
Thank You

It all depends on your constitution. People have lived on tiny boats for
long periods of time for centuries. Having modern conveniences makes it a
little better, but it takes a special mindset to put up with the lifestyle.
I lived on large boats while working in the Gulf Of Mexico as a diver. You
have your own very tiny individual space, consisting of a bunk, possibly a
drawer and/or a locker. If not, you live out of your bags.
As to cost, that would be relative on the craft, and your luck in the
weather, and how much you used for fuel vs. wind. And even then, you need
to replace sails and rigging.
Lots of people do it and have done it. Perhaps someone will chime in who's
BTDT.
