The expression "Wall Street" has become a cliche for large financial
institutions headquartered in NYC. Many of the biggest firms are no
longer located downtown in the Wall Street geographic area, including
three of the ones that you mention: 745 Seventh Avenue, 399 Park
Avenue and 1585 Broadway. Those are all mid-town addresses, closer
to the theater district, Times Square and Grand Central terminal than
the stock exchange.
