Since I couldn't find the Garmin nuvi 765 up here... and especially
not on sale, I picked up a new Garmin nuvi 265W.
It is on sale at 'The Source' (formerly Radio Shack) for $139.00 CDN.
Well, I should say my mom bought it...as a birthday present for me.
This unit seems to have pretty solid reviews, and although a basic
unit, will do me just fine.
The lack of the 'Traffic Notice' feature won't affect me around
here... I'd have to drive about a thousand miles to use it.
Fantastic! My mother stopped buying me birthday presents about the time
I turned 30. A card is just fine. She needs the money more than I do.
I stopped getting my own birthday cake when I was about 14. My sister's
birthday is on the 25th, my other sister's birthday is on the 27th and
my birthday is on the 29th of the birthday month. My mother just baked
one cake and the birthday child got to have a piece of the cake on their
birthday. And, if there were candles available you got a couple of them.
Well, I've heard that if you put enough booze in them, birthday cakes will last
a long time without spoiling.
