The 60 minutes story and the end of life problem in general, is a
Medicare problem.
It's a moral problem. Forcing the feeble and soon to be dead to stay
temporarily, painfully alive is torture - euthanasia is applied to criminals
and pets - torturing old people to run up the bill is the ultimate crime.
