And propping up the Taliban with US dollars is going to bring the
towers back?
Hell, the Bush Administration couldn't even get revenge for the 9-11
attacks. As soon as Bush's handlers realized that we were not going to be
successful in tracking down al Qaeda and its supporters in Afghanistan,
despite our overwhelming military might, it diverted our attention with a
billion barrels of bull**** to Iraq.
It really makes no sense to maintain our military at current levels.
My major disappointment with President Obama is his decision to go along
with an escalation in Afghanistan. All we're going to get from that are
more body bags containing Americans and a further waste of our tax
dollars.
He didn't simply go along, he took the initiative to commit what, 40,000
troops.
