Most police (at least out here) will accept your DL number if you don't

your ID. It's happened to me once or twice when I left the DL at home.
You memorized your DL number?
I agree once he pulls it up on his computer and sees your picture,
that will usually work.
I have charged things on my Visa card without the card because I knew
all the numbers they type into the terminal.
Well, it's only a letter plus 8 digits. I do it as a rhyme.
