they put it on the lift and i stroll over. sure enough, both rudders
are bent to ****. prop edges also bent up. they put gauges on the

hmmmm, not good planning. I'm thinking there should be something

Could be lack of attention too. Depth finders etc.

I was with someone who reputedly knew the lake, I was driving. He said
go right through the middle, full power there was nothing.

Me, I was watching the waves and saw the waves change loosing amplitude
and cut the power. Just in time too, we lightly, and I mean lightly
coasted up to the sandbar which at peek was 5" below the water. We even
got out and walked onto it knee high. Just had to reverse out, saves a
lot of damage by paying attention to the depth and waves. Charts had it
as a clear channel.
