very nice!
We spent the day under the Bay Bridge, because I wanted to see what the Sandy
Point marina was like after not having been there for so long. Great launch area
with space for about twenty simultaneous boat launchings. The launch fee isn't
too bad, at $8, but if one gets there before 6 am it's only three bucks.

Not all was rosy, however. My Garmin 440s gps stopped working while on the
water.
i hope this never happens at my place. the channel is so narrow, with
so many dog legs it would be a disaster...
I didn't realize how much I'd miss it - the sounder/fishfinder part.
It's a Garmin 440s, and when it's working it's a great machine. I did
find out the problem. The rubber washer in the plug had become twisted
somehow, so the plug wasn't going in all the way. I think it had been
twisted from day one. I'd force the plug in, the Garmin would work for
a while, then stop. Without the rubber washer, the thing works fine.
I'll try putting the washer back in and see if I can get it seated
properly.
good find! those things are hard to track down.
