....and we didn't get skunked this time. Used up a dozen bloodworms and caught
about as many croakers with an assorted perch thrown in. A few small spot became
bait chunks, and a couple croakers took them.
We spent the day under the Bay Bridge, because I wanted to see what the Sandy
Point marina was like after not having been there for so long. Great launch area
with space for about twenty simultaneous boat launchings. The launch fee isn't
too bad, at $8, but if one gets there before 6 am it's only three bucks.

Not all was rosy, however. My Garmin 440s gps stopped working while on the
water. This has happened several times in the past, but I thought maybe I'd
cured the problem when tightening the ground on the engine block. Well, that
didn't cure the problem. Like I said, it's turned off several times, but usually
I can get it back on. Today it wouldn't come back on at all. I'm now in the
middle of researching that damn problem. I think it's something to do with the
power wiring, and may even be another loose ground. I just hate taking the
instrument panel off to get to the fuse block.
Oh well, no one said boating was supposed to be all fun and games!
