Flawed it may be, but it IS a plan - which is considerably more than
whatever the current administration is up to.
Just because there is a plan doesn't mean the plan is better than no
plan. Look at all the plans the other side has made to solve all of
the problems. Whichever side you identify with, you can point to
some plans which have, in your opinion, done more harm than good.
Bad plans abound in government.
How about lynching homeowners who hire workers standing around Lowe's
to work with them at fixing their roofs? They don't *know* those
hires are illegal - in fact the odds are good that they aren't
illegal. But that's the same thing with businessmen who don't spend
a lot of money verifying the papers of those they hire.
Ignorance of the facts is an excuse under law. If the homeowner doesn't KNOW
they're illegals, he's blameless.
OK. Then every person looking for even a temporary job needs to have
his papers with him. Including your teen-age child or grandchild. We
certainly don't want to make it harder for the poor citizens to get
jobs, so create a bureaucracy to provide trustable IDs showing their
right to work.
