Default Gorgeous Day on the Bay

They're now up to $9.95 a dozen. Used to be $5.95, but it's been a couple years
since I've bought any. Took a friend, so wanted to optimize the chances of
catching something. Bloodworms are usually the ticket.

The best fishing, according to my sources, is at the mouth of the Choptank
River, which is across the bay from where we launched. OK, no problem. The bay's
not that wide, probably about fifteen miles - but the wind was and the water was
rough. So we stuck close to the western shord.

The day was spectacular, temps in the 70's, clear, sunny, and windy. We took a
detour to Deale to show my friend the scenery.http://tinyurl.com/25skft9http://tinyurl.com/39hkqp8

Even the Ospreys were having a ball.http://tinyurl.com/2vqda2o

However, the night before someone unfamiliar with Deale came rushing in,
obviously following his GPS. He found a ****ty parking spot. TowBoat US had just
given up trying to get the boat off the rocks when we came by. No alcohol was
involved, just going fast and not knowing about the jetties.http://tinyurl.com/23h4oz8

We did do some fishing, dropping the line and drifting.

But unlike our sturgeon catcher, I've no pictures of fish to show off. We were
soundly skunked. Not even a nibble. Oh well, better luck next time.

Great pic's John. Looks like you're having mroe fun than at a golf
course.

Kinda nice to hit the water for once, isn't it?
