No, it wasn't a boat trip, but we did see a bunch of lakes and rivers. My next
younger brother and I met our youngest brother in Wytheville, VA, at the Harley
shop (where else?), where they tried their damndest to talk me into buying a
Harley. They can't seem to understand when I tell them my Guzzi corners better,
accelerates better, and is easier to work on than the Harleys. "But it's
twenty-one years old!", they say. Yeah, that's true, but with a little less than
60K miles on it, it's still a youngster.
Anyway, to the trip. Had to start with a 'ready to roll' shot in the garage...

Took this shot while waiting for youngest brother to show up. Brother Robert is
on the left. He's coming up next year to do 'Rolling Thunder' together.

Part of our trip was on the Natchez Trace Parkway. As can be seen, it's not an
exciting motorcycle route.

But it did have nice rest stops where youngest brother told us how close he came
to getting nailed by a truck.

We left the youngest brother in Memphis, and Robert and I headed back to North
Carolina, which has roads almost equal to West Virginia for motorcyclists, along
with some great views.

Of course, great rides can have their crappy times also, like riding for a half
hour behind something like this can be...

We had a great time. Already talking about next year's trip.
Great shots of a nice trip, John!
Thank you, kind sir.
