Relief wells are a proven technology. There are some risks, but BP is
drilling two relief wells in case of problems. I would expect at least
one of them to work. However, the best case is to get used to another
two to three months of spilling oil. It's not going to be pretty, and,
God forbid, a hurricane. This, most likely, will be years, before the
Gulf returns to anything approaching normal.

It was a great relief to hear the Sec of Interior say, "We have our boots on the
neck of BP." That kind of talk is sure to help the situation.
