This is Randy, a youngster who likes veggies, including small carrots,
potatoes, miniature corn on the cob, green beans, and, of course, a bit
of beef, in his stew.
Twilight photo on a little Canon powershot...from the third story of the
house...too dark for no flash.
Randy probably would come right into the house if we let him...He's a
well-behaved little guy.
Did you know that coons sometimes carry rabies without displaying
symptoms? Did you know that some of your neighbors might become upset if
they knew you were feeding rodents.
1. Indeed, raccoons can carry rabies and other diseases, and the
symptoms are not necessarily visible. We know that. This is also true of
other animals, included some that are more commonly domesticated.
2. Raccoons are not rodents. I had two pet fully domesticated raccoons
when I was a kid. Both were leashed when they went for a walk or to the
park. One loved the beach, and was a terrific chick magnet.
3. We also feed foxes, deer, and on occassion, a possum. Sometimes the
squirrels go for the seeds the birds drop out of their feeders. Some of
our neighbors feed deer.
Hope this annoys you and others. :)
It certainly does annoy me, but then I have learned not to expect better
from the Krause family.
Hummm. He hopes it annoys others. What a pathetic admission, trying so
hard to be a burden and a annoyance to society... It's a progressive
thing, I will never understand.
