Glad Sestak won.
And Kentucky fell to a "Tea Bagger"
Bzzzt. Nope. That was for the Republican primary. He still has to face
the
Democrat, and both of those got more than he got. So, in the vote count,
he
came in third.
The way I see it, is that he is now a candidate though. I suppose the
main election will tell.
But, whatever...
The Reps totaled 351,000 votes, the Dems over 500,000 votes in the
primary.
The main election will indeed tell. Not a chance in hell he get
75,000 votes that voted Dem. More likely moderate Reps will cross
over to vote for the moderate Dem rather than the loonitarian.
His rhetoric is "take our country back" which is white man code for
"we ain't about to let them negroes run our country."
It should be interesting to watch. It's really a referendum on Mitch
McConnell. He must be quaking in his boots. Now he's trying to make nice
with Paul.
Sadly, if you look at Kentucky voter history, them thar Kentuckians tend
to vote more heavily for Dems in the primaries, and then the Repubs
scare them into voting Republican in the general election.
Loonytarianism, though, might scare some moderate Republicans into
voting Democratic. I don't see the Dems picking up that seat, though.
