AND...............................?

And what?

Went out Saturday afternoon, a little choppy, but warm. Headed over to
one of smallest and prettiest unoccupied islands in the bay, anchored
off the bow and attached a stern line to a tree on the island, had a
picnic lunch, and got back to the marina, all without the use of
electronics or even a compass. Not much of a task in the Bay since in
most places you can see the western and eastern shore by turning your
head, and though the island is on the other side of the bay, it's easy
to find if you head south east.

Sunday, did a little extra-light-tackle fishing, c&r a half dozen
croakers and one undersized striper.

One of the nicer aspects of the bay is that you don't have to run your
engine for hours and hours to get to someplace that's interesting,
scenic, fishy, et cetera. It takes 20 minutes to cross the bay. An hour
to an hour and a half of engine time will take you to some good
locations and back, depending on what you want to do.

On the other hand, compared to the northeast coastal area of florida,
the fishing in the bay sucks, unless you are down by the mouth adjacent
to the Atlantic. That's about 100 miles by water, but when we go, we
trailerboat.
