Please explain in detail the connection between BP's financial
responsibility for the mess it and its partners have created, the
pollution problems now facing Gulf Coast states and businessmen, the
unwillingness of the United States to defend its southern borders, and
who lives here.

My interest in this thread is whether BP will pay for all the damage it
has caused, or whether it will try to wiggle out. If it does wiggle out,
who will be stuck with the bill?
