I am aware of that too. I tried to sign up for them in 1965 but they
were not taking FTs. I even did the GM3/2 course and tried to change
my rate but no dice. When they kicked me back to the CG I tried for an
83 footer, ended up on a white one out of Norfolk bouncing around the
North Atlantic looking for subs.
We did keep the godless commie *******s south of the Wilson Bridge
tho. (not so sure about the Chesapeake and lower potomac)
