John, here in Atlanta, we have this one congressional district that
seems to always get the whackos. This is the seat that Cynthia
McKinney held. Now we have Hank Johnson:

Loogy, it is my belief that Black Democrats continue to reelect crap
for politicians simply because they're black. Washington DC is a great
example of that. The list below shows poverty levels in various cities
in the US.
City, State, % of People Below the Poverty Level, Year of Last
Republican Mayor
1. Detroit, MI 32.5%, 1961
2. Buffalo, NY 29..9%, 1984
3. Cincinnati, OH 27.8%, 1984
4. Cleveland, OH 27.0%, 1989
5. Miami, FL 26.9%, NEVER
5. St. Louis, MO 26.8%, 1949
7. El Paso, TX 26.4%, NEVER
8. Milwaukee, WI 26.2%, 1908
9. Philadelphia, PA 25.1%, 1952
10. Newark, NJ 24.2%, 1907
It seems like a lot of wackos get elected every time in these places.
If you remove any possible racist overtones there is still a valid
point there. I am sure these folks believe that if they elect someone
who looks like them, that person will look out for them better but
they find out a politician is a politician, no matter what they look
like,
Politicians respond to the big money that put them into their job, not
the little guy who was tricked into voting for them..
Therein lies the truth about taxes, abortion, family values,
compassionate conservatism, personal responsibility, etc.
I'm sure the Dems have theirs but the issues are never as cynical or
divisive.
