Frog, my wife's friend just visited for a week, she's from the U.K. I
asked her what she thought of her healthcare system, and she said that
although there are some problems, overall it works very well. They get
alot of U.S. news feeds there, and her take? The conservatives here do
nothing but cherry pick a few things that failed in the system but
never, ever report the good.
They have global heath care. Obama's plan is different and so convoluted
no one understands it. I doubt they will ever find a way to implement it
as written.

Agreed. It is so losely defined it isn't funny. So loaded with pork it
isn't funny. Just an excuse to overspend like mad asses for another 3
years.

Americans should look at Japan, as they have tried the tax-debt-spend
cycle and have two lost decaudes to prove it. Mind you for the debt,
they don't do too bad but taxes and cost of living is insane. That is
why the "lost decades".

Which is where I think things are headed, a jobless recovery driven
mostly by inflation. What jobs do get created will be very low end. Tax
increases from civic, state and fed will crush any job wage recovery
dead in its tracks.
