My 28' sailboat is now in Stuart, Fl after transiting the Okechobee
waterway but I want to get to Bimini and then to the Berry Is. so I
need to get to Miami. *However, I am now very tired of the ICW so I
would like to sail down the coast on the outside from Stuart to
Miami. *If I stay within 5 miles of land, will I have any problems
with the Gulf Stream pushing me N.?

Wouldn't the charts point this out?

It's amazing what the gov't does for people... oh wait....

It'll be the government that rescues froggy after his clapped-out,
poorly maintained boat falls apart halfway to Bimini.

Your paranoia shines brightly again! It must be pure hell going
through life afraid of everything. So much so that you keep your kids
in their rooms doing practice tests so they won't be hurt in that
dangerous world out there.

Froggy's boat has issues. I wouldn't leave the marina in it.
I'm sure there is no reason for your kid(s) to take practice
exams...with the genetics you contributed to them, they'll be lucky to
qualify for the Army.

Oh, and by the way, what in HELL would a "practice exam" do to help
you gain intelligence? My daughter, in her first year in high school,
is in the gifted program. Next year, her classes include some that
give the appropriate college credits.

So, she was adopted, eh?

No, she's a product of two intelligent parents who love her

So, how did you get in on that?

Practice exams are designed to teach you about the exams, so you'll gain
insight and be better prepared when you take the actual exams.

I don't know what is being done in SAT tests these days, but I
recall taking the practice SATs in the 9th and 10th grades, and the
actual SATs and the "Achievements" in the 11th grade, along with the
National Merits. I'm sure those exams and the procedures have been
upgraded to take into account today's less literate students.

I went to a school where they actually TAUGHT you, as opposed to just
giving you the answers via a "practice test", and that's what they are
doing in schools here also.

Uhhh, no, **** for brains...the PSATs were provided by the national
testing service, and the "answers" were not given. The practice tests
typically were made up from questions from previous exams and, as I
stated, were offered to help future testers get used to the sorts of
questions asked and the formats in which they were presented.

Damn, I could figure out the format of a test in the first couple of
minutes of the real test.

We didn't learn answers because we had no idea what the questions might
be on the "for real" tests.

You obviously never took the SATs. And more obviously, you never went to
a school where you were taught...if you had, you wouldn't be the dunce
you are now.

Gee, let's see, I have a very successful career, so much so that,
unlike you I don't have to lie about every aspect of it. My wife is
successful as well, so I don't have to lie about HER accomplishments
like you do your wife's. My daughter is a straight A student, and is
gifted, so much so that we have to choose which accelerated and gifted
programs to put her in, as her advisors want her to do them all. My
son is an AB student, and I suspect that when he gets out of grade
school, he'll find what he really likes and will do well. Oh, and if
you don't believe me, there are several here that know about me, my
wife, and my kids and of our accomplishments. Now, go make up some
more lies about your life and your wife.
