Well, the nice big, beautiful bow railing on the Marquis was badly
damaged this past year when a 55 gallon drum hit it. *I was up stairs
moving some stuff around in y warehouse and bumped the drum and it
fell about 5 feet. Even though empty, the drum damaged *the railing
and it was bent bad enough on the port side that it broke a couple of
mounts. Needless to say, it left *a grievous feeling with me.

I figured it would be expensive to have it repaired that is if I could
find somebody locally who could do it, so this weekend I'm going to
pull the railing and instead of try to get it repaired, *I'll *install
cleats where each rail support was.

I still have the old cleats from the ancient Chris craft . They're
bigger'n what you would find on a runabout, but their available and
should do the job.

But first I'm going to check out the lid for cracks etc. then proceed.

I wish I could use the railing, but I dont' wish it that bad to have
it fixed, that is unless anyone has any suggestions.

BTW, I do have the railing from *he Cavalier but it's w a-a-a-y to
big, but it's made of stainless!

Got any photos of that? *It's a shame you have to lose the rail.

Not at the moment Larry. If it ever quits raining around here so I can
dig the boat out I'll snap some, though.
