It is also interesting when you spin that up by race although the
result is not politically correct to mention.

Of course in the south, that 15 year old might be married.

Color doesn't matter if your population is undereducated and lives in
poverty.

How many 15 year olds do you know that are married? Poppycock and you
know it.

But the demographic in question is 15-19. Lots of kids get married
before they are 19.
The reason I brought up the race question is the "born again" who
would be listening to the abstinence message are predominately white
and they are doing a lot better in this study.
It is always dangerous to make too much of a statistic without putting
it into context.

Abstinence doesn't work. Education does. If you educated the child
in reproductive health, show them the responsibilities of becoming a
parent and teach them safe pracitces, they tend not to get pregnant.

If you tell them they can't have sex, they go wild.

The fact that teen pregnancy happens chiefly in states that promote
abstinence is damned good proof that an uneducated population is more
likely to make bad life choices.

Black or white.
