I'm not that brave, but my dad told me that when he was a kid , that
he and my aunt used to go catch snappers in a little creek back behind
their farm. the same way this guy is.

When a kid in LaMonte, MO, I saw a snapping turtle take a kid's finger off down
by the little lake we had in town. He'd caught the turtle with a hook and line
and had it in a dish pan. The hook went into the turtle's mouth and out it's
eye. When we got to the lake the dumb **** decided to try to take the hook out
of the turtle's mouth. He reached down, and when he got a few inches from the
mouth, the turtle struck. It caught the kid's pinkie, and the kid raised his
hand up, over water by the little dock, and the turtle dropped into the water -
with the kid's pinkie!

It was about 10 years ago fishing with my middle girl and we caught what I
thought was a huge log. Turned out it was a frekin huge snapping turtle. It was
much bigger than any in the vid, probably 24-26 inches across and I bet it
weighed in at 20-30 pounds iirc... We got it up on shore but then snipped the
line.

What were you going to do, turn it on its back?
