Just for your information...this province has the least paid holidays in the
country..and I'm sure less than y'all south of the border.
i.e. no holidays between New Years Day and Good Friday.
I was waiting for that extra holiday in February since my high school days
and all through my working life.
That's how long they have been talking about it. Now, it doesn't matter so
much.

I had paid holidays. In the US it worked out to one less day a year
than Alberta, which would be 200 or so days less than Newfoundland. For
example, while Americans don't get boxing day, they do get 2 days at
thanksgiving.
