Citronella is partially effective, but there's a lag time for the

Is there a low-power light that will do the job?
I don't like zappers. The noise of insects dying drives me bonkers.

They work far better than cintronella. There is a flame, but it's
tiny and hidden. The wind does diminish the effectiveness. I use one
on the deck... it's the best thing I've found so far.

Oh, and the hose end "Yard Guard" is good stuff too. You spray your
yard, shrubbery and even the exterior surfaces of your house with
this
stuff. You have to wait for it to dry, and it does wash away in the
rain, but for an "event" you can apply in the morning and that
afternoon / evening you'll have a nearly bug-free time.

Thanks, Jack.
Both look good.

Y'all may laugh, and I've mentioned this before, but this stuff works
for
mosquitoes and no-see-ums
better than anything else I've ever used. Safe for human use.

Rich. That's got to be better than "Off!"

Off doesn't work at all. I use Cutters at the tracks and always end up
letting "Off" users use my Cutters when the Deep woods off fails
miserably.

I know, I know, Deet, but if you are going to use it, might as well use
it in a mixture that works on bugs Either way, I am going to order a
bottle of the stuff Dick suggests, as I am not happy about all that Deet
at all.

Just spray it very lightly on your arms, legs (if exposed), then spray a
little on your hands
and wipe it on your face and neck.

Not only will it keep the 'skeeters and no-see-ums at bay, you'll smell
purty too.

Well, if it stops the marsh mosquitoes I will be impressed. I will
report back in June
