I'd like to attend a big boat show sometime, but it seems that when It
in Chicago, it's proves to be an awfully inconvenient time for me.

I hope some dealers and manufacturers can do some good, because
Brunswick reports sales down by 38%

This is the one you really want to go to:

http://www.miamiboatshow.com/

It's at the right time of year for a southern get away, and the size
and quality of the show is simply awesome. Bring money, go to South
Beach, go to Joe's Stone Crab, get some sun, bring money, repeat as
needed. :-)

There is no other boat show that even comes close.

I'm sure you're right, Wayne, BTW, do I need to bring "Money" or
"MONEY!" ?

The price of admission is low, and there are plenty of discount coupons.
It's a multi-part show, with one big part in an exhibition hall and its
grounds, and other part along the ICW and in marinas. Plenty of
opportunities for boat rides. There are any number of decent hotels and
restaurants in the area at every price point. Miami Beach is a fun
place, especially if you are visiting from the north in the winter months.
