It seems like your Presidents pick to be the dollar czar isn't fairing
well from either side of the isle. Throwing billions to Wall Street
and little to Main Street isn't making him a very popular man.

Like most "Czars" I'm trying to figure out what the guy actually does..

I believe he's the Secretary of the Treasury, but don't let me stand it the
way of a right wing rant on czars.

Stand in ( I take it you meant 'in' instead of 'it') the way of what
rant ? I know what his official title is, but I'm wondering what he's
actually doing for everyones benefit. It looks to me like he isn't
getting supported well by some democrats as well as some republicans.

Thats all.

I'd bet that an overwhelming majority of Americans from all sides of the
political fence have no idea of what any of the cabinet officers do.

I wouldn't have coughed up a dollar to help out the shareholder/owners
of the big banks and financial services companies and those of their
employees who get huge bonuses. But I would have helped community banks
and credit unions to the greatest extend possible, and mandated a 50% or
more cutback in the amount of paperwork and levels of approvals needed
for SBA loans.

One of my clients is in the financial services industry. It's a small
company, handling less than $10 billion in assets. It has been
profitable since its inception. No one there, including the CEO, is
pulling down an extraordinary salary, and the bonuses are small, too.
Maybe it is because personal greed is not an attribute the company seeks
in its employees.- Hide quoted text -
