If he had not been killed his legacy would be extremely bad. He gave us
part of the Southeast Asia buildup, he gave us the Bay of Pigs debacle,
and
he caused the Russian's to install missiles in Cuba in retaliation for the
US putting missiles on their borders in Turkey.
you mean the missiles that were put into turkey before he became
president?
He gave us Camelot and some
class in DC, while at the same time banging the Sex Symbol of the Century.
At least he had good looking girlfriends and did not bang the hired help.
Not saying Palin is any good for POTUS, but do not hold up JFK as the
great
one.
how much cobalt 60 do you have in your system now?
how much do you think you'd have if kennedy hadnt succeeded?
Actually, it was during the Kennedy administration, per the agreement that
was completed in 1959. But, it had little to do with the Cuban Missile
Crisis directly. The Bay of Pigs was a more direct link, and that was an
inherited situation, although he was in the presidency when the invasion
went forward.
the deployment actually started in june of '60. and certainly the bay
of pigs had an influence.
but what's more remarkable is kennedy had the balls to go eye to eye
against the russkies...and not blow up the world in doing it.
if palin had been president, we'd all have glow in the dark children
Republicans *like* REALLY DUMB PRESIDENTS, e.g., the George W. Bush
model.
