You do realize that pure glycol freezes at eight above? Not being
water it doesn't expand and won't break your block. However, If you
start it while frozen you will fry the motor. Of course, 90% freezes
at about 90 below. I would use pure methanol, much cheaper, but
whatever. My race car burns the stuff, so I have five gallon jugs of
the stuff lying around. The people with the alcohol truck also have an
alcohol pump at the station. You can rinse your motor and drain it out
and let it evaporate. I have a glycol cooled motor and it is good to
go at all times, same as a car.
