Default Going Blue Crabbing

In article a417bd72-9687-4d91-8c83-30c96a134612

Yesterday was a very nice day here on Tybee Island, but didn't get to
go crabbing, did some surf fishing with not much luck. Today we're
going on the marsh side of the island and go string line some crab! It
rained earlier but the sun's out, and we're hopeful! Sure would like a
crab boil this evening.

Around here we "firelight". You have to hit quick about a half hour
before, during, and a half hour after the slack at dead low tide... Oh,
and at night Take a battery and a huge flashlight along with a crab
net on the end of about an 8 foot pole. One person rows around the flats
and the other directs and stays up by the bow looking for the crab claws
and eyes peeking out of the mud in 1-2 1/2 foot water and scoop 'em up
with the net. On a good night and a good tide, a couple of scoopers can
fill a cooler or two in about an hour and a half... Makes for a great
steam the next day
