"The system worked", OK Janet, sure it did, as long as the system was

Dude - she was so totally taken out of context even though she said
exactly what she was reported saying.
It's the evil Bush and the extreme right wing terrorist media.
She's got to go - this is three times she's f'd up - either resign or
fire her. Damn, I thought Tom Ridge was a screw-up empty suit - she
makes him look good.
Even better, she's starting to make d'plum look good. That takes some
serious effort.

You guys dont get it. Napolitano IS COMPETENT FOR A DEMOCRAT. She is
the quintessential Demofool. Obama truly thinks she is competent. No
matter that they were warned by this nutjobs own dad. Firing
Napolitano will change nothing at all when the problem is endemic to
the nature of Democrats.
You mooks haven't the slightest understanding of what happened in
the recent incident.
First, it was a failure of the parties in Amsterdam, not a USA/TSA
failure. The security contractor in Amsterdam is handled by an Israeli
firm. Smoke that one.
It's still not clear if the package "in his underwear" and "beneath his
torso" was just in his shorts, in his jock, in his butt-crack, or fully
internal.
In any case the "puffer" and whole-body imaging being touted would not
necessarily have caught the latter three, and there are several issues
with the technology, not the least of which is throughput speed - you
just cannot use it as primary on everybody, or the lines would be five
hours long.
What was it? Certainly a failure of intelligence and information
sharing. One way, cash ticket, no luggage except carry-on, fits every
profile. If you think TSA/DHS does not talk well with other US
agencies, it's exponentially worse with foreign countries who are as
loath to give up their vulnerabilities as we are.
I've heard nothing about whether or not there were FAMs on board, but
that silence is bothersome. The emergency amendment that came out has
an expiration date of 12/30 (very rare to have an expiration at all...
much less to be that quick), so there is some intel available that we're
not seeing. As usual.
Now, back to your usual rec.boats uninformed guessers.
My sources tell me that he had a round trip ticket in his posession.
That says they are aware of some of the tells we use to identify them.

I get so upset by these spoofers, that I think I am going to make more
crossposts between rec.boats and numerous unrelated newsgroups, because
at least that is not detrimental to rec.boats. This group needs some
new blood, and that is always a good way to get some new posters who
enjoy boating as much as i do.
