Default Ice Pick Murder?

"Vic Smith"

Just seeing this. You saying somebody was trying to rip off a parking
space from somebody else?
That's some heavy stuff.
Think in the old days they called that kind of "perp" a rustler.
No, maybe squatter. Anyway, probably ended in a gunfight.
Well, maybe if they were sodbusters they'd go after each other with
shovels. I didn't even know they made icepicks any more.
Can't remember the last time I saw an ice pick. Probably 40 years.
Never trust a woman who keeps an ice pick or straight razor in her
purse. And if she has a peg leg she's probably even more dangerous.
I heard once that to commit the perfect murder you stab the victim in
the eye with an icicle. Similar to an icepick, but the weapon melts.
Hard to get it to the crime scene in the summer without a good cooler.
BTW, peg legs are usually associated with pirates, who spend a lot of
time on boats.

I grew up in Las Vegas. As a young man, I parked card on the Strip. Some
of the old wise guys were still around. One was Israel "Icepick Willie"
Willie Alderman. Google reveals some interesting reading on him. I saw him
once, about 1967. He looked mean as hell with blank eyes. He was a very
small fellow, too. One of the only times I ever saw anyone wear a wool
tweed trench coat in Las Vegas.
