I've heard cherry is a good alternative to teak and was wondering about

Anyone here have experience with plastic lumber for exterior trim?

I have a dock surfaced with plastic lumber. It looks good but is not
nearly as strong as teak. Cherry looks good on boat interiors but
I've never heard of it being used on the exterior.
