That was proved most recently by the election of GWB to two terms in office.

And proven in an unambiguous fashion.

Speaking of Galiano Island, we were there three days after 911 and
because the kids were with us, we couldn't eat inside the pub. They
had nice tables out on the lawn and it was a warm summer eve. Another
couple was in the same situation with their daughter and we were
sitting close so a conversation was struck.

They were from Germany and after a while politics came up. They
stepped very gingerly into the subject of Bush and when they saw our
reactions they asked us why in the world we hired the village idiot.

I seriously doubt they'd think the same of Obama, and they'd be right.
