President Obama hasn't even made it through his first year in office
and already talk about Hillary is starting up.
Heh - how about that.
Was Hillary smart to be suckered out of the Senate and into the Obama
administration? Can she resign in disgust and still run against Obama
successfully in 2012? Or, would she have been better off staying in the
Senate and being a loyal Democrat and then turning when Obama became a
failure as President?
What are the odds that she will serve out the full four years as Sec of
State? If not, will she be fired or resign?
My money is on her getting fired within 6 months.
She won't be fired but I still would not be surprised to see her leave
around 2011 "to spend more time with her family". (and perhaps get her
campaign back on track)
It really all depends on how successful Obama is by then.
If he is perceived as being unbeatable she will probably stay on.
I don't know her future plans for staying as Sec. State. You're probably
right that she, like most in such a position, continually reevaluate. She's
said she isn't interested in running for Pres., at least not in 2016. She
would be too old by then. I'd say 2012 is out also, but if nothing else, for
logistical reasons.
