Um...no?

It was last held by three different Democrats from January 3, 1979
through January 3, 1993.

How does she keep getting elected?

Oh wait - San Francisco - that explains everything.

I'll have you know, that I do *NOT* live in San Francisco. I live in
San Jose. The only time I ever go up there is when we have out of town
guests, and they insist on a visit.

Actually SF is nicer than SJ to visit. And I have worked in both.

SF is an amazing place. If I didn't work at home in the forest, I'd move
there over any other city.

Live there? No way. Crappy weather, crappy politics. But a fun place to
visit. I grew up across the bay and moved over the hill to a place that
is not foggy 1/2 the year. I worked there and graduated university there,
and still own property there. Just do not get me started on the Assessors
office. But a crappy place to live. Unless you were maybe 21-28 and high
income.

I love the weather. It's restful compared to the heat and cold found
elsewhere. There are places in SF that aren't all that foggy, although many
places are.

The politics is _interesting_ for sure. Very, very local. I have several
friends quite a bit older that 28 who live there, own their home, and they
love it. I seriously considered buying a place on Russian Hill (yes, it's
foggy there), but it just too much of a stretch.
