From a man who selfishly spent his nights in the local pubs instead of
raising his children, and now pays the kids bills and fetches him beer,
I don't mind being called a freak. My youngest just gave up a week of
riding and private time to tending to her best friend who broke her leg
recently. Sleeping next to her friend, on a cot, doing her homework in
the hospital halls while Brianna got some sleep, the kid is amazing. It
was cool to hear the mom tell me last night how much she respects The
Mouse as being "one of the most well grounded and selfless 15 year olds
she has ever met". I am sure all Donnie hears is, "he drank all my
beer"... Absentee/failed dads like Donnie, really can't say anything to
me. How many of their kids brag to their friends about how much time
they get to spend with mom and dad... We were talking about a friend of
Jessi's the other day and Jessi noted that she really didn't know what
it was like to fight with us as most of her friends do with their
parents, just didn't understand how a kid could "hate" their parents..
Man, life is good...
